I would suggest that you describe your question more.

How do you know that your computer is out of memory, and what functions have been lost?

Such as...?

Can you open a terminal?
Then you may cleanup package cache:
sudo apt-get autoremove && sudo apt-get clean && sudo apt-get autoclean

If the issues remain you may need to remove some former kernel images.
