Output looks fine. Issue solved?

No, also after restart of the machine.
After clicking the icon I get a blanc screen which dissappears after seconds, just as before.

Sometimes, (before the updates of today) Ubuntu says: an internal problem occurred... and the details says something as /usr/share .... executable error.
(I could not make a copy of the message) and I can still continue working on the machine.

In your home directory, go to the .cache folder and there delete the "software-center" folder.

Then try these Terminal commands:

sudo apt-get purge software-center
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get install software-center
sudo dpkg-reconfigure software-center --force

Then reboot and retest.
