Your best bet can be to ask in #launchpad where you can get some one
in real-time to help you out with any problems that you might have :)

Hi,

Apologies for not replying to this sooner; the whole Launchpad Bugs team has been sprinting for the last week so we've unfortunately not been able to get to your request before now.

Here's how bug imports generally work.

 1. You provide the XML (already done, thank you)
 2. We do a test import on a local instance to ensure that that XML is importable.
 3. We do a test import, usually on a Launchpad instance running in Amazon EC2, so that you can check that the imported data look sane.
 4. We do the import on staging.launchpad.net to ensure that it works when imported into the full Launchpad dataset
 5. Assuming that everything goes well in step 4 we do the import on the Launchpad production database.

We're currently in a release week (Launchpad 10.01 is due to be released and rolled out tomorrow) so we won't be able to get past step 3 until the end of the week. I'll try to at least get the local import done today so that we can proceed with the other steps once the rollout (which takes up a large portion of our time) is out of the way.

Regards,

Graham

Hi,

First, sorry for not getting back to this sooner. I'll try to get the import done by the end of this week, at least to ec2.

I've done the local import and there's only one problem, which is that the username "j" isn't a valid Launchpad username. Now, since you already have the username "j" in Launchpad I'm guessing that's a bug in our importer, so I'll work to resolve that.

In the meantime, please let me know when you're likely to be free to review an import on an ec2 instance (I prefer to do it this way since it costs quite a bit of money to leave them running for a long time). It might be worth you updating the XML export to ensure that it's got the latest bugs, too.

the xml file should be up to date, i redirected new tickets to launchpad already.
i will not have time today, but should be able to check your import any time tomorrow during the day, indian time. if you want to run it even shorter, ping me on irc to check that i am around.

Hi,

I tried to get an EC2 instance running for you yesterday but ran into some problems getting Launchpad to start on it (it's been a while since we needed to do this, so our instructions might be slightly outdated).

I'll try again today and let you know how it goes.

Hi, sorry for the long delay with this.

I've had the bugs imported into staging for you. Please check
http://bugs.staging.launchpad.net/ffmpeg2theora and let me know if there
are any problems (a log of the import is below for reference).
