Continuation of my last message about HP Envy 6030e
Sorry, I forgot to specify that the model of my printer purchased in November 2023 is: "HP Envy 6030e" and that I had previously installed hplip-3.23.12.run. I didn't know what to do with hplip-3.

Hello Ania and a big thank you for your responsiveness!
Here is my operating system and hardware in detail.
I am well aware that my O.S. is no longer maintained but the core is not so old I think.
So I bought the HP ENVY 6030e (HP Envy 6000 Series) printer and downloaded and installed
"hplip-3.23.12.run" without error and the printer works well in Wifi. By cons the scanner
does not work. The software for the scanner is "Simple-scan" with "Xscane 0.999" (perfectly
functional with my old Canon machine, unfortunately died by planned obsolescence! ) It me
returns the following errors: "Cannot connect to scan device" and in another window "driver
plug-in required, HP device proprietary plug-in is missing. Click 'next' to continue plug-in
installation" and after click "Failed to install Plug-in. Either you have chosen to skipe the
plu-in installation or entered incorrect password". I searched for this plugin and finally found
in a long list 'hplip-
So I copied it into a text editor and named by his own name. I started the installation in the
terminal first in root (sudo) but the recommendation was not to do it. Then as a simple user
and the first mistake was that MD5 does not match "the one indicated!" so I changed it, success!
But following error: can not open it, is not in. zg format (it seems to me something like that...).
I reformatted it and the installation worked. However it asked me if I want to uninstall
"hplip-
"some functions of the scanner will not work, then, blah blah blah, done. And finally it still does
not work...! (with or without usb cable) But printing still works.
I hope you have understood everything, sorry if I am not very clear, thank you again.

1. The answer by Ania Queen (aniaquen232) is just spam, created for the purpose of posting a dubious link
2. Why did you create a second question for your issue instead of continuing in your previous one https:/
