Borderless photo printing

Asked by Leopold Puchas

Border less printing results in e small white border on the left and bottom side of the picture. I am using HPLIP 3.15.2 installed on RHEL 7.1 and the HP Envy 7640 e-All-in-one printer.
The real photo paper size is 4 x 6 inches, although it is labeled with 10 x 15 cm. I select the paper size Photo 4 x 6 inches border less or 10 x 15 cm (it does not make a difference). To produce the printout I am using shotwell. The size of the printed area is always 100 x 150 mm instead of 4 x 5 inch. Also when I cut out an area with the size of 4 x 6 inches and printing it, I still get the small (about 1.5 mm and 2.5 mm ) white borders.
Tried several printer settings without success. It looks to me like a bug. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this.

Hi,

Can you try below steps.

http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/install/manual/index.html

=> Reconfigure print queue using below commands.

       => hp-setup -r (remove all print queues)

       => hp-setup

=>Try printing now.

If problem does not get solved then please run following command to capture the logs and send the logs.

$su -c "hp-logcapture"

=>Document used for printing.

=>Scanned copy of printed document.

**Please use "Create a bug report" to attach the logs as "Ask a Question" does not provide the file attachment option
