ARM-support
I'm sorry to gain attention by resubmitting my question, but unfortunately no one has answered to the original question again: https:/
I understand that an ARM version of the HP binary driver is not available, and that HP's licensing does not allow these drivers to be published open source. But I'd like know why HP does not provide a ARM-build of HPLIP-plugin. There must be a reason.
I don't know the project structures, if HPLIP-devs are HP-devs or whatever, but I'd like to know who decited not to provide a ARM-build. Don't get me wrong, but for me HPLIP seems to be not a community-project, but a HP-project - and hplip-plugin is proprietary and owned by HP - so this is why I demand a ARM-build hplip-plugin. I bought a HP product, HP/HPLIP told me they support my OS, but they don't because of some licensing.
If you are not responsible for not publishing a ARM-build, please let me know who is responsible, so that I can contact him or her.
Regards,
Merlin
