Zim

Can't save Zim settings

Asked by WineCurmudgeon

When I change some view settings -- hide the status bar and tool bar -- and then do a save, the status bar and tool bar reappear when I open Zim the next time. Granted, not a huge problem, but it is annoying.

I'm using Zim 0.65 on Xubuntu 16.04.

Settings should be saved when you close zim. Try changing them and then
close with Control-Q. After re-open they should be remembered. If this does
not happen please open a bug report and attach a debug log if possible.

That worked. I was not using Control Q, but just closing it with the x in the upper right hand corner. Thanks for your help.

By the way, this is a terrific piece of software -- it works, it isn't buggy, and it's quick and snappy. Thanks very much.
