How to suggest enhancements?

Hello.

In May I suggested an enhancement and reported a bug (#1185182, #1185210), but they are still untouched and undecided, though I attached also a patch. Perhaps I chose a wrong way how to suggest a new feature? How am I to do that correctly?

No, the bug tracker is the right place for that. Unfortunately since May
many things have been happening in my life with the consequence that I did
so far have no time to clean up the bug tracker and get some patches out.
Fully intend to make up for that and come back to zim in the next few
months, but afraid I can not make a hard promise on that.
