Can we enable automatic title numbers in editing window ?

an example ?

There is almost no distinction between each titles.
They all looks the same and it is difficult to know where you are when your text is a little bit long.
Is it possible to have automatic numbering to get something like numbered list ?

1. Title lvl 1
1.1 Title lvl 2
1.1.1 Title lvl 3
1.2 Other title lvl 2
2. Other title lvl 1

This is hard to do, but maybe the "table of content" plugin can help you ?
