Is there any plan to support git as VC?

I prefer git to bzr. I want to know whether there is plan to add git support as VC. If possible, please add instructions about howto add new VC support in wiki pages.

There is a plan, but nobody is working on it at the moment. THere is a
experimental branch of the code on launchpad with git support, but it is
pretty old, still could be a good starting point to add it. If you are up
for it you could try merge that branch with current trunk and see what
works.
