Hello,
As a starting point I recommend the papers of Jan Stransky that you can find on Yade publications page.
Your question is very vague, you may realize it later. :)

Hi,

There has been recently a similar question: https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/262899

But, for a so general question, perhaps would it be more useful to use Google ?

Hi Gabriel,

do you know already more in detail, what would you like to achieve?

Based on more and more questions of this kind, I am going to create a page
with short manual and examples, it should be ready in a few weeks..

@Bruno: what is a good place for the manual and examples? Wiki?

cheers
Jan

First, sorry for the lack of specification.
I will me dedicate to development a numerical model for analysis of rockfill dams. I have read the papers of Jan and Milan Jirásek, and i believe that the coupling FEMDEM will be very useful.
I would need some examples of modeling, another papers, etc, specially if it are related with my topic.

Thanks,
Gabriel.

Gold: a section in theory.rst, possibly reusing content from previous papers
Silver: a section in user manual, does not need to detail equations and algorithms, it points to papers instead, it only give hints on how to effectively use it
Bronze: a wiki page with brief introduction and hyperlinks, less demanding for you, less attractive to

Hi Gabriel, you could consider using Woo, open-source fork of Yade, which has some FE things integrated (elastic triangular and tetrahedral elements, with easy extension) -- http://woodem.eu/examples/fem/. vaclav
