"max_vel" doesn't work on ThreeDTriaxialEngine

Asked by jessica sjah

Hi yade-users,

It seems that the command "max_vel" doesn't work on "ThreeDTriaxialEngine".
Have anyone used it?

Thank you

Hi,

I am not a user of ThreeDTriaxialEngine.
But it seems, there max_vel1, max_vel2 and max_vel3 instead of max_vel.
Can this solve your question?

Anton

I want to do consolidation undrained test by using "ThreeDTriaxialEngine".
First step, I want to make the isotropic compaction until the sigma_iso is reached by straining the wall.
But it seems that "max_vel", "max_vel1", "max_vel2" and "max_vel3" don't work on "ThreeDTriaxialEngine"...?

Second step I will use strainRate1= -strainrate3 to do the undrained test (2D model)...

I mean that the walls don't move by using "max_vel", "max_vel1", "max_vel2" or "max_vel3"...

Could you explain the problem a bit clearly?
Do you find wallVel > maxVel?
