CANT SIGN IN, SIGN IN PAGE INACTIVE.

Asked by ROB NETTLETON

I have an existing account but cant log in using the old sign in page, I can't even get the page to open. Has this moved or been changed? I just need to sign in to access all my Xibo information and change the screen settings.

I found a sign in page here by googling, but has no xibo name attached to it so not sure if it's legit and it doesn't work anyway.

Any help appreciated,

Thanks.

Hi Rob

Who do you have an account with? Did you install the CMS on your own
network or are you paying someone to host it for you?

I inherited this from a previous employee who did it himself as far as I know, pretty sure we don't pay anyone to host it for us.
I cant find any original info like e-mail addresses etc but I had a link to the sign in page saved and knew the sign in name and password none of which work now. It stopped working about 3 weeks ago.

Thanks

There is certainly an Xibo page at that address, but it is impossible for us to tell you anything beyond that I'm afraid. Ideally you would need to find out where that address was served from (the web server) and get access to the database server to reset your password.

Is there someone in your organisation who took over from the original Xibo owner?

Hi Rob

If you're not paying someone then it's likely the CMS is installed
somewhere on your premises.

You need to find which server/PC it's installed on, and find out why the
software has stopped running. You won't be able to log on to other people's
Xibo CMS's you've found on Google to update your sign.

If possible it might be worth asking your predecessor where the CMS is
installed

Best wishes

Alex

Hi

Thanks for your help so far, a colleague reloaded the CMS and I can now access the dashboard through the Xibo sign in page.
I have changed the Powerpoint slideshows on the dashboard etc but they aren't changing on the screens. I am assuming the signal isn't getting through. I have tried restarting the computers at the screens, my computer where the CMS is and turning Xibo off and on again, but they are still showing the old Powerpoints.

Any help gratefully received.

Thanks again for your help.

You need to configure your clients to talk to your new Xibo CMS.

Once that's done you'll be able to update the content. They won't discover
a new CMS automatically.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask ROB NETTLETON for more information if necessary.
