Background image covers Ticker

When I set a background image on the windows client I can see all the other regions I have (a website and text) but the ticker doesnt display (assume it is beign covered). The ticker displayes fine with no background image though.

I have tried with .PNG .JPEG and .GIF as the file type but no luck.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Does the ticker show up in the layout preview?

The Windows client needs a jpeg for the background image. Don't use any
other format

Yes it shows in the design window and then showed in the preview window about an hour afterwards.

Yes any formatibf changes especially to the ticker seems to take ages to change over. Like changing font colour sometimes. Other times it is fine.

We're talking about the layout preview in 1.6.2 cms. There should be no
delays previewing layout changes.

Changes to content on the client will take a long time if you have long
running regions - so keep your region durations short
