Can't change regions after update from 1.4 to 1.6.2

Asked by Fredrik Andersson

Everything seems to be as expected but when I look at the layouts I got the status of "The status of this layout is unknown" and when i try to edit a region nothing happens.
Looking forward to your answer

Best regards
Fredrik

Nope that diden´t help.
I tried to reinstall the 1.6.2 but without any succes. It seems like the system don´t recognize the admin rights.
The region values dont respond either.

Can you follow the "report fault" section of the CMS and link us a troubleshoot.txt file?

Sorry, you will need to upload it somewhere as Launchpad doesn't support attachments in answers. Or you can email it to <email address hidden>

You have a lot of activity on that box from displays - but unfortunately there is nothing obviously wrong.

That would imply that there is a serious error - can you confirm that you followed the instructions exactly when doing your upgrade and installed into a new folder (not over the top of your existing installation).

We have had some issues with people copying 1.6 over the top of 1.4, which causes some redeclaration of classes.

I removed everything except the media folder and the settings php. Copied 1.6.2 files and then I went for the /upgrade.php and followed each step and it's working now.
Thank you for your help.
