Add missing translations

Asked by Tim

As described in this post:
https://answers.launchpad.net/xibo/+question/241296

Not all sentences are translated correctly. But it is possible to deliver a list of strings that still needs to be translated.

I wan't to help and give you the list, but what is the correct format?

Will a list with a string on each row be enough.

Hi Tim

As the interface is updated to allow it to be translated it will appear in
Launchpad translations for people to translate.

If you want to file bugs against the latest 1.5.2 for strings that cannot
be translated, then feel free to log a bug for each one.

Please be sure however that it's the case that the string is not available
to be translated rather than just not currently translated in your language

Best wishes

Alex

I have a clean 1.5.2 installation with the latest Dutch translations. For this language all strings are already translated so it is very easy for me to see which string is still in English and not in Dutch.

For example the word Direction in the window where you can add/change a text is still in English and not translateable. You wan't that i create a bug with the text that this word need to be translated. And for the next string i must create again a new bug?

Is it not easier to combine al ist of strings in one bug?

Hi Tim

Dan would need to comment but a bug per section of the ui would probably be
preferable - ie per form - as I doubt these will all be tackled at the same
time.

Hi Alex,

I have added 3 bug report with each time one unique missing string.

You will see them when you search on "Missing translation" in the Bugs overview.

If this is the correct way please let me know so that i can add the other missing translations.

Hi Tim

As I said before you really need to see what Dan says, but I think one bug
per form would be preferable.

ie one bug for missing translations in the Display dialogue for example

Hi Tim

Yes one bug per "form" (ie per dialogue box or page) with all the things that need altering would be perfect.

Thanks for your help

Hi Tim,

Before you continue I want to upload the latest POT file into Launchpad. Of the 3 bugs you have submitted 2 are already translated.

Thanks,
Dan

Full translations uploaded into lp:xibo. They should import into Launchpad Translations in a bit, otherwise you can see them here: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~xibo-maintainers/xibo/head-15-fix/view/head:/default.pot.

Thanks for all your help.

Hi Dan,

Thanks for your comments.

I have seen the new translateable strings.

I will translate them today and upload them into my Xibo installation.
Must i also upgrade my PHP/HTML code?
