Missing translations

Asked by Timo Lappalainen

I have added some Finnish translations. Anyway it seems that there are already defined translation for some words/sentences, but they still does not get translated on GUI. E.g. on version 1.4 Design-Layout header there is word "Action", which is translated on Finnish translation, but still shows in English on GUI. Also on same page each lauout has action "Edit", which is not translated, but is translated right on e.g. page "Displays".

Then there are some words/sentences on GUI, which does exist on translatable list. So are these "under development"? E.g. Design-Layout header there is a word "Description".

Anyway, to improve Xibo, what I should do? Should I report the missing words/sentences and untranslated words/sentences?

Thanks

Translations are a "continuous improvement" effort, meaning that each time we add some new functionality to an area of Xibo we make sure that all of the existing items are also translated.

There are many improvements to this area in 1.5 development preview series and further improvements which will be released shortly as a 1.6.0 release candidate.

If you would like to go through 1.5.2 and note any missing strings, that would be appreciated, but doing so on 1.4 would be a wasted effort as many of those items will have already been done.

Hi Dan,

I would like you to help adding the missing translations. I have a clean Xibo install with the latest Dutch translations so it is easy for me to see which strings are not translated.

How do you wan't to receive the strings that needs to be translated?

Gr, Tim
