RSS ticker item changed color

Asked by Dave

I've had a display running a layout for the past few months configuring options and getting everything straightened out for deployment. today, out of nowhere, an RSS ticker region has developed a display problem. the background of the zone has changed to yellow. I've checked everything I can think of and I have no idea why it's doing this. the RSS feed that it is displaying doesn't have any coloring options, the rss ticker item doesn't have any coloring options, and the background of the layout itself is white in that area. any ideas? the only thing that I can think of that changed was a graphics card driver update but I've since restored the driver to a previous version

Make sure that the background image on the layouts are all jpeg images. If
one is a png you'll get strange behaviour

I didn't change the background image. Why would it suddenly start doing this?

I don't know Dave. I'm just telling you the facts. If any of the background
images are png files I would expect the behaviour you describe.

I have very little time to give out free support at the moment. If you
could kindly just check if any of your background images are png or any
format other than jpeg then we can move forward, otherwise I'd invite you
to log a support request with the sponsor company and a representative will
be happy to help you on a paid basis.

You're not an inconvenience. I'm just pointing out that precious few other
people are willing to contribute here. I'm very happy to spend my personal
free time giving support for nothing, but that time is very limited.

If I have to suggest the same thing over and over it means I have less time
available to help others.

You are of course free to use an alternative product and recommend that.

seems to have actually been a damaged .net installation. repaired all of the .net stuff and the problem went away.

the background image in use is a PNG, but as previously stated, it's always been one, and it still is one. perhaps the underlying PNG problem is actually some form of .net conflict when it occurs?
