Has it worked for you in the past and just now stopped working or is this a new installation?

Does it do it in multiple browsers on multiple machines?

Also check that php version number. I don't see 5.6 listed as a stable release on the php site.

What page are you being taken back to?

The installer? The login page? The dashboard?

What webserver?

I mean what user are you using in Xibo? One you created yourself? I also asked about the webserver? Are you running on iis or apache or something else?

Just to confirm:

You can login successfully and after login you are presented with the dashboard page as shown in this screen shot from the manual: http://wiki.xibo.org.uk/wiki/Manual:Overview#Dashboard

When you click on any of the links on that page the page will just reload itself? Or do some of the links work and others not?

If its only some that don't work, which ones specifically have a problem?

It sounds a little like a corrupt copy of Xibo - we have had cases before where the javascript files are missing when the application is unzipped. Could you try a fresh download and see if that makes any difference?

when i click layout. it goes to layout page with only buttons in it. as like add layout and filter when i click add layout it it redirects to dashboard. in each every case this follows. only first click goes to correct page without not much content revealed in it. when second click it that page redirects to dashboard.

As fan says, download a fresh copy of the server and extract the files over the top of the existing installation.

It will run through an upgrade procedure and then hopefully that will fix it.

So it now works ok in mozilla but not in Internet explorer? Or you mean you have the same issue now in both browsers?

Maybe it's just me but I'm having real trouble understanding your answers as you're giving very little detail.

Can you get in to the report fault wizard on the management menu?

If you Can, can you run through that. When it asks you to recreate the problem then on a different browser or in a new tab click through some of the links that work and some that don't.

Finally email the troubleshoot.txt file to <email address hidden>

You can't run 1.0.8 on a 1.2.0 database. They're incompatible.

1.0.8 and 1.2.0 use the same system for rendering pages so there's no reason why that should work and not before.

It still sounds like a corrupt download of 1.2.0 to me.

What are you filling in to the form?

It looks like you're giving "static ip" as the mysql server address.
