AVG Business 2011 causes Xibo Client to Crash

Question:
Xibo was working fine and playing content correctly, until I installed AVG Business 2011 onto the machine.
Now Xibo only displays the background image for 30s-1minute before throwing an error and asking to be debugged. I have confirmed that it is an AVG-related problem, as I have created a virtual player (without AVG), and it works fine.
Solution:
Remove the AVG elements that plug into anything (only have the Core, Remote Admin and Settings Manager installed)
