how to use with sd card with multiple lettered partitions

Asked by Daniel Essin

I have an R-Pi sd card that I want to update from a new image. When inserted, windows assigns three drive letters. Is it necessary to reformat this card first or can Disk Imager simply overwrite the thing. If so, which drive letter to choose for device?

If it needs a reformat, how about fixing the app so it can be done from there, or done automatically after checking a box like "Automatically reformat target if necessary"

Thank you

The app will use the raw device of the volume you select. You don't need to reformat.
