Image File Issue

Asked by Steve Hartman

Hi, I got a card it worked fine loading games. I tried to flash the card with Win32 Image Writer. It made a file on my HD. I think it's an .img file but it doesn't say.
Anyway, I made the copy of the 15gb SD Card with Win32. But when I go to put that file back on the card it doesn't put the entire file on the card and the card doesn't boot up.

How can I get this entire file to load on the card?

The file should be the same size as the SD device (not the filesystem on the device). I assume this is a 16G SD card?

What image are you putting on? When you say it doesn't boot, what are you trying to boot? Is there an image online that I can download to test?

What version of Windows are you running?

Hi, it's Windows 8.1. I made a backup of a Retropie SD Card. It was a 16gb
card. I tried putting the file on a 32gb card too, but that doesn't work
either. The file is on my HD. If you want to try out a Retropie file
there's one on the site.
