filehol slows down internet

Hello,

my internet connection is very slow while firehol is active. At speedtest.net my ping is about 250ms compared to 30ms when I disable firehol. But without firehol no filtering works. What can I do?

Hi,

just for anyone who's reading this, having the same problem: Uninstalling webcontentcontrol and manually installing firehol, tinyproxy and an older version of dansguardian (2.9.9.7) worked! Now my connection is back at normal speed and there are no blank pages anymore.

Ah, ok. You should have mentioned the blank pages problem. :)
Downgrading the dansguardian version solves that.
For the internet speed generally, I don't know any solution except for
reducing or removing the filtering at the moment. :/

Anyway, thanks for posting back your solution. :)
