i was trying to download 2 updates but was getting the following message time and again.

E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.
E: _cache->open() failed, please report.

Can you please help me with this.

Did you mean to post this in the "Web2-Conf" project?
