Is « move launcher horizontally » planned for 16.04 ?

Hello !

You might already know that next Unity shipping with 16.04 Xenius Xerial allows to move launcher at the bottom of the screen.

Do you have any plan to add that tweak into Unity Tweak Tool ?

(And maybe fix the Dash position in that configuration too ?)

As far as I know Unity still doesn't support moving the launcher to the bottom, but an Ubuntu Kylin developer did create a patch that allows you to move it. This patch has not been brought into Unity however meaning that the launcher still cannot be moved without downloading the patch and rebuilding Unity.

Since the UI freeze for 16.04 happened a few days ago I doubt this patch will make it into the release. If it does we will update the tool.

It's not currently in 16.04. I looked up the patch though and it has been
approved for merging. I will keep an eye on it and if it gets merged update
the tool.

Looks like it has been merged for 16.04 so that would be awesome to get it in Unity Tweak Tool before the release of 16.04
