Cannot install Ubuntu Studio 8.04.1
I have recently problems to install the latest version of ubuntu studio, the 8.04.1 release of july 2008.
This version seems to work well on my desktop computer but the installation doesn't launch on my notebook, the installation menu appears when i reboot on the official alternative dvd but when i want to launch the installation or the dvd verification options, i have all the time a black screen without any information.
Note : i have the 32 bits version, my notebook is an hp compaq business 6720s, with a standard intel celeron 530 processor, 1 GB of RAM, an intel graphical chipset, yet the ubuntu 8.04.1 LTS version works on that computer.

F6 and add noapic acpi=off
and install in alternate mode without graphics
Thanks Daniel Schwitzgebel, that solved my question.
Thanks for your quick response,
I finally solved my problem after many tentatives with a "simple" F6 option for the screen of the notebook, vga=771.
I hope ubuntu studio next versions will work well, without that problem (wich the standard edition doesn't have).
