There is 2.2.0 in PPAs for Precise. Raring is EOL mid next month.

Thanks for your reply, but it doesn't answer my question about when
2.2.1 packages will be available on Raring. Since I can't upgrade to
Saucy using Ubuntu-provided packages until this bug is resolved
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openswan/+bug/1208006) I'll
need to build my own packages for either Zabbix or Openswan.

Regards

Greg

I would not expect that zabbix 2.2.1 will ever be provided for raring.

You have to understand the Ubuntu release philosphy. Ubuntu is no rolling release.
Every six months there is a new Ubuntu release published. The packages that are contained in that release are provided in the version that is the stable version at the moment of import freeze (about two months before the release date). A version upgrade of packages is done only in specific cases: For a selected list of core packages (kernel, firefox, timezone info ...), and in case there are severe weaknesses in a package.
see also https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates and https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SecurityTeam/UpdateProcedures

So you cannot expect any higher version of zabbix for raring in the official channels than the originally-provided 2.0.5 version, unless there is someone providing a higher version in a PPA, or there are so important updates that justify a SRU or a backport.

Please note that the version currently in develop for trusty is just 2.2.0, and not 2.2.1.

Have you investigated whether the zabbix 2.2.1 .deb packages for precise from http://www.zabbix.com/download.php are installable on raring?

Can you help with this problem?
