how can you backup your settings for usage in other computers

You could make a back-up of your homemap with all settings and config. some members make an apart partition for their homemap/settings

You go into your home folder, press ctrl + h which shows the hidden
files and then copy all the files that have .something they are the
configuration for your applications, just copy and paste them on an
external media :D
