Broken Packages - PPA problems

Ubuntu 10.02 I was tweaking the PPA's and hosed the system up. I'm getting "Broken Packages" messages when I run "Update"

I would seriously consider a backup and fresh install with either Ubuntu 12.04 or Xubuntu 12.04 Lucid support ends in a few weeks time.

Downloads are available here. Make sure you check the MD5sum to ensure the download went OK.

I suggest you try each of live CD / USB first, Make sure everything works then when you have chosen the one you like do a full install. You may find Ubuntu is too slow depending on your hardware.

I originally mucked it up by playing with Tweak and changing the
repositories.

I am not a developer but was a Window Network Administrator. So many
people including myself
prefer the Gnome Desktop. Why can't they admit they made a mistake and
redesign Unity?

If you decide to upgrade then you can get almost the old desktop by opening a terminal (CTRL+ALT+T) and entering.

log out then back in again selecting "Gnome Classic" as your desktop.

To close the question mark it solved. I can't close it -- only you can.
