try to update but no results

 Try to update but no results,it gives me an error.E:encounter a section with no package:header, E: problem with mergelist/var/lib/apt/lists pr. archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_natty_nain_binary_i386_package,E:the packagel list or status file could not be parse or opened.
Want to get the new version of ubuntu 11.4 but I cant do anything,dont let me do the startup usb.Can you help me? Thanks.
