When this error happens, it's usually because of a bad .iso image or a bad CD.

Did you MD5 test the .iso image before you burned it to the CD? (See https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM.) If not, please do that now. If that doesn't check out, you'll have to redownload the .iso image, MD5 test the new image, and (assuming the new one checks out) burn it again to a new CD.

Did you verify that the CD was burned correctly and is readable by the machine on which you're installing? To do that, boot from it, and immediately when you see the person and keyboard icons at the bottom center of the screen, press Spacebar, select your language, and select "Check disc for defects". If that doesn't check, you'll have to burn it again (and then run this test on it again).

If both those things check out, please post a reply and we'll keep working on the problem. If the above advice enabled you to solve your problem, then please mark this question as Solved (which you can do at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+question/154690).

Can you help with this problem?
