Make sure your server settings are:
Incoming Mail: pop.mail.yahoo.com with port 995 SSL/LTS
Outgoing Mail: smtp.mail.yahoo.com with port 465 SSL/LTS

I'd suggest using your browser to log into your account via mail.yahoo.com just to make sure your password is okay.

Assuming that the password is okay, go back to Thunderbird and check the e-mail address. I think the e-mail address listed has to include @yahoo.com not just the part to the left of the "@."

Can you help with this problem?
