Sudo: unable to resolve host

how do I use sudo?

Whenever i am using it in terminal, an error msg is coming : "sudo: unable to resolve host."

Pl help.

Thank you for taking the time to raise this. It sounds at this stage as if you are after more information as to how you should be using sudo, as opposed to this being a bug report.

As a result, I am converting this to a question, and hopefully others will be able to assist you regarding what is going on.

using sudo it says "unable to resolve host" what is going on? Also, my Synaptic package manager doesn't open to use.

Can you help with this problem?
