Ubuntu Software Center disappeared

I am not sure what happend or what I did, but Ubunbtu Software Center is no longer an application. I can't find it and it says it's available to download, but it won't download... how can i fix this?

sudo apt-get --reinstall install software-center

(stupid American spelling). Then you can see if it is in Dash, or run it from terminal with:

gksudo software-center
