Which camera do you have. There are several methods, depending upon how the camera itself handles image storage.

Well, it's a black casio exilim camera 14.1 mega pixels, HD, and 26mm wide.

OK, that sounds like the casio "EX-S200" model. If this is correct, then it appears the device does not support mass-storage (USB key style) data transfer, so it won't be able to show up in your file manager

Have you tried loading the "shotwell" or "digiKam" applications to see if they can detect your camera?
