where the software install at?

I cannot find the root of the software which i have installed.

We will answer as we can. this is a community forum, so you may have to wait. If you need full support, you can pay canonical for various levels of site support.

What software did you install?

Note that the is no "root" folder for various programs. They are installed into standard locations, eg most programs will reside in the "binary" directory, abbreviated "bin". In fact, they will be "user binaries", and thus in "/usr/bin/".

If they are core "system binaries", they are usually in "/sbin".

If you are looking for application data, this is usually stored separately, in /usr/share/NAME_OF_APPLICATION/

     If you used Synaptic Package Manager to install it, you can find it using Synaptic. Open Synaptic, right click on the software, and select Properties and then go to the tab marked Installed Files.

what exactly are you trying to do when you say you can't find the root?

did you install something and it doesn't show on the menus?
