How do I get adobe flash player to download?

`I am very new to this abuntu thing. I really can't figure out how to do anything. I tried to download a an adolby flash player and it said ( an error occored. this keeps happening.
then it says {package'adolby-flashplugin' is virtual... What does that even mean??? Do I need to intsall some kinda package off this abuntu program on my computer? If so,,,, How do I do that??? please help. This is driving me crazy!!! in details I can understand... please help!!!! The following details have been provided: w:some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones are being used instead.and it said--- w:failed to fetch http//us.archive.abuntu.com/abuntu/distskarmic/Release.gpg could not connect to 192.168.2.253:3142(192.168.2.153 connection timed out... HELP PLEASE

0 connection timed out...

Looks like you're trying to install it from Karmic. I'm guessing you're using Ubuntu 10.10? Just go to the software center and search ''Flash.'' Ubuntu restricted extras is good package also.

If you want to download flash separately then go to
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
