How do I download AOL

I had Vista on my computer and put this on because I was told this was easy to use......so far I am having a harder time....Cannot download AOL which I use for my email and chat......

You can use Pidgin's AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) to connect to your AIM account.

I am trying to install AOL not AIM.....so this info does not apply to my question.........I use aol as my for my resource for the internet........someone told me not to use this program but I was having so much trouble with Vista that I was gonna give it a try and because of the problem with aol I was gonna redo Vista but now I cant get it back on here so please someone help with this problem

Yes I am still having problems..........With this program (Ubuntu) how many more problems can I look forward too.

You know never mind about telling me how to get AOL on here but how to get this program back off my computer and the original one back on......I am not a computer qeek so in plain english please

I don't think that AOL makes a client package that looks like what you used on Vista-that you can install on Ubuntu. Just use the browser Firefox to visit http://www.aol.com and log into your e-mail there. It works just fine and it works from other computers too.

Pidgin, which Ian Ace mentioned earlier, should work fine as your replacement for AIM.
