how do i unstall ekiga softphone

To install Ekiga through the Ubuntu Software Center follow these steps:
 * type Ekiga Softphone in the searchbox
 * press "Install"
  * if there is no "Install" button:
   * press "More Info"
   * press "Use This Source"
   * type your password to enable the proper (universe/multiverse) repositories to be added
   * install

Open you Gnome-terminal and type sudo apt-get install ekiga

For update:

sudo apt-get update && sudo aptitude upgrade

You don't need to do that Carlos. Update it through the Update Manager or Synaptic.
