i have downloaded schooltool2.0.3.tarz. extracted and executed make, make
instance and make run. initially i could open the site with the url
http://127.0.0.1/7080. i could open the site couple of times. but now when
i issue the command make run, i am not able to run the server instead i am
getting the trace back error

i tried to change the location, reinstall, remove instance and even
reinstalled python as directed in some of the forms. still iam not able to
run the server.

I suggest you report a bug, te packages should work well so if something is amiss then the package needs tweaking. You can start the process with:

ubuntu-bug schooltool
