Why was RNV package removed? Please consider adding back.

Asked by Bruce D'Arcus

Not sure if I should submit this as a bug report, or a question, but going with this ...

I noticed the RNV package was removed somewhat recently. I'd like to ask this be reconsidered. It is very fast, stable and compliant, XML parser for validating against RNC schemas, and contra the statement in the "delete" explanation, there are not reasonable alternatives. In addition, from what I remember, it has only a single compile dependency: expat. While it's trivial for me to compile myself, I can't see any good reason why I should need to.

I saw that changelog entry, but as my question suggested, I didn't find it
convincing. Do I need to take this up with Debian?
