aucun son ne sort de mon portable HP pavilion dv6

Ordinateur portable HP Pavilion dv6; model dv6-1123sf; S/N CNF 915053 T; P/N NL 948 EA#ABF
Acheté en juillet avec Vista. Non essayé sous Vista et installation UBUNTU 9.04 sans partition.
Le son et la wifi interne ne fonctionnent pas depuis le début. La wifi a fonctionné avec une clef USB. Après la MAJ KOALA la wifi interne fonctionne correctement. Toujours pas de son mais le contrôleur de volume tactile qui était inerte maintenant transmet des ordres. Je ne sais pas s'il s'agit d'un défaut de mon portable ou bien s'il manque un logiciel pour faire fonctionner la carte

Hello Sam,
I'm really sorry, after many years with Win, I decided to start with Linux. I retired on june and bought that HP on july. I loaded Ubuntu 9.04, crushing Win. Since I cannot ear a sound or read a video or use internal wifi (I used USB key).
A week ago I did upgrade to Koala. Internal wifi is working fine now. I ear sounds when opening or closing applications, but still unable to read a CD or DVD. I'm not used to work with Internet. I was unable to catch it where I was living in Africa. I'm working with it almost every day but I'm still a beginner. So what I need if it exists is a software corresponding to my hardware. Anyway thanks for your response.

to play certain CD/DVDs may need restricted formats and installing some additional plugins rsp. packages.

Bonsoir, Lecture de CD en fonction après avoir chargé KsCD et Dragon player. Je ne sais pas lequel m'a demandé de faire une recherche de matériel installé; Toujours est-il qu'il l'a trouvé et que ça marche.
Il me reste un problème, mon lecteur ne lit pas tous les DVD et je ne sais pas charger les codecs supplémentaires.
