This is located in your /home/user partition (where user is whatever your USERname is). Note all directories and files that start with a period/stop (".") are hidden files/directories.

~/.gnome2/rhythmbox/rhythmdb.xml

HTH.

I went to /.gnome2/rhythmbox/rhythmdb.xml The rhtymbox directory was not in
gnome 2. I did an extensive search for rhythmdb.xml including hidden and
back up files could not find rhytmbox anywhere.

I am using rythmbox and try looking in
/home/YOURNAME/Music/ARTIST/Drive
YourName = Marcy - or your username on your computer (Ubuntu)
Artist = the name you saved the music files under.
Hope that helps

In your home folder, showing hidden files and folders, you should find it in ~/.local/share/rhythmbox/ folder

Is restoring playlists.xml and rhythmdb.xml supposed to restore rhythmbox to a previous state? That didn't seem to work for me.
