Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please answer these questions:

 * Is this reproducible?
 * If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug?
 * Do you get an error on the command line on the first run?

 This will help us to find and resolve the problem.

Hi Sebastien Bacher,
Thanks for the response.
This problem is reproducable every time i open rythmbox. It is straight procedure, there are no specific steps - just open rythmbox. And i do not get any error on the command line on the first run.

nobody else gets that issue so that's rather an user configuration issue

I have a very basic default installation of Jaunty and have this exact problem every time I start Rhythmbox. Repeatable every time.

"Starting Rhythmbox" shows in a tab then disappears. Second time, "Starting Rhythmbox" again which this time changes to the regular Rhythmbox tab.

A simple solution worked for me. See #74232 the new question I posted as suggested above: <https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+question/74232>

I have this same issue. From the start menu (Applications>Sound & Video), I click "Rhythmbox Music Player" and it does not open. When I click the same icon again, the application opens.

Can you help with this problem?
