Unable to locate encoding profile for mime-type in Rythmbox

Using Rythmbox to put a cd onto my computer to then put it on an mp3 player I got this message
 Unable to locate encoding profile for mime-type.

I am unable to copy the cd to rythmbox What next?

Does it happen even if you put the CD in first with Rhythmbox is not running, wait 60 seconds, and then launch Rhythmbox and try to rip the CD?

This looks a lot like bug 412619, bug 431027, and bug 493069, suggesting that this problem *might* have been fixed. What version of Ubuntu are you running, and is it up to date?
