Jaunty, Pulse audio and USB speakers

Asked by gwenn59

I have tested Jaunty alpha-1. No problem during installation but I have tested the USB speakers C-Media pleomax and pulse audioserver for playing music and sound. Sound goes into the speakers of the PC and not into USB speakers.

I have changed then parameters and used Alsa C-media USB speakers for playing sound and music: No sound at all.

The problem was already reported for Intrepid.

Use pavucontrol (you'll need to first install the package) to migrate the stream to your usb speakers.

Thank you Daniel T Chen. It works perfectly with pavucontrol.

Works perfectly with Jaunty alpha 3, no need to use pavucontrol.

I have Ubuntu 8.10 - the Intrepid Ibex and can't get JLAB usb speaker to work. From the config, this is showing up as Cmedia. I select this as the playback device in pulseaudio. I already have pavucontrol installed. But no sound. Still investigating.
