ubuntu unable due to program using up CPU

Asked by william labbett

hi,

since two days ago when I boot up ubuntu, everything is dead slow because there is a program running called pulseaudio.

I tried ending the process from the task manager but it doesn't work so the OS is unusable at the moment.

Any ideas what I can do ?

Thanks.

i don`t know if this will help or not . right click one of the panels -add to panel then scroll down to force quit click it then add - close , then right the icon you just added and see if it works .

thanks greg,

didn't know about the add panel thing.

For some reason the program isn't interfering anymore, but if it does I'll try your solution.
