usb modem software for linux

same problem here, I am using Ubuntu 9.04

I need more Information

Iam using ubuntu 9.04 can you tell me how to insatll epivalley software in ubuntu and how to connect to internet

still my problem is not solved

Seems to be a common problem, with no easy solution - I'm having trouble with my usb modem too. I am new to Linux so I can't supply answers. Been looking at WVdial as a solution, but have had trouble installing it. Check out answer #76751 it may help you.

I could connect USB internet device easily in ubuntu 9.04. I had to do nothing more than giving username and password in to the "connections" in the tab mobile bradband in networkmanager. ....
But in Ubuntu 9.10 I could not do the same thing. However it is in beta state now. So I am waiting for it to release at end of this month

Thanks for the reply. You lucked out with your modem. I expected mine to work that way too (silly me). My modem ended up back on the store shelf where it came from.
