And the rest?

Ubuntu 14.01 doesn't exist. There picks Ubuntu 14.04 which is LTS and supported til April 2019. There is also Ubuntu 14.10 which is EOL and no longer supported in any way.

You are clearly new to computers (Which Ubuntu is aimed at). What is the output of:

sudo lshw -C network; lsb_release -a; uname -a; sudo dmidecode -t 1

Thanks

You probably best follow the instructions in
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WirelessTroubleshootingProcedure
and paste all output into this question document that you have already created.
