can't remove floppy option from places menu

i built a new machine, the mother board has a slot to accommodate a 3 1/2 inch floppy drive but i did not install one. On the places menu an option appeard floppy0, how di i remove this from the menu?

You might go to the BIOS setup of your computer and disable the Floppy drive.
If it is enabled, the system may think you actually have a floppy drive.

Floppy is already disabled in BIOS, as i agree that if it was enabled the software might believe that it was their. any futher help you could offer would be appreciated
